We have been trying to take the kids bowling for 3 weeks now! Who knew it was so hard to get a lane? We made reservations for last Sunday but Makayla was sick so we changed it to this morning. When we got there the person had forgot to put our name down and so we had to wait until the next session started to get a lane. Unfortunately Tom had to work on our nephew's truck and so he missed most of it but he was able to see the kids bowl for a little bit. It was Dylan's 1st time "real" bowling (as apposed to bowling on the Wii) and they were both very excited. Dylan had a lot of fun at 1st but was a bundle of energy that was very hard to keep up with! Thank goodness Papa was there to help out because he wore us both out! As for Papa and I, we forgot how hard it is to bowl! Those balls are heavy after hucking down the lane. I did break 100 though and so I was pretty proud of that.

Dylan and Makayla shared this 6lb beauty

Makayla had pretty good form and even got a couple of spares!

Thank goodness we had bumper guards, not that I needed them...OK maybe once or twice they saved me :-)
Dylan threw it every which way he could. At one point he just kind of dropped it just out of my reach. I had to go get the lady to get his ball that had completely stopped about half way down the lane.....
After a while he decided it was much more fun to hang upside down from the chairs or climb on his Papa than bowl. This worked out well for Makayla because she got an extra turn.
At the end of the day, after no nap, Dylan stopped for just a second and that's all it took....Ahhhh, the sweet sound of a sleeping 3 year old
