What an exciting day!

Mother's Day was full of good food, sweet treats and an ER visit? Wait that doesn't quite fit... We started off the morning with a fabulous garden globe that Tom and the kids got for me. My other one was accidentally broken about a year ago so I was very excited to get a replacement for it. Then we went out to breakfast with us and my mom and Ray. It was delicious (and I didn't have to cook it!) We then came back to the house and finished planting our new vegetable garden. I have been wanting to get one in for a couple of years but have always been working on another part of the yard. So last week Tom built 2 raised beds and we got it filled with dirt and veggies. I was so happy to have all the help. At 4pm we went over to Kerri's house for a Mother's Day/Josh's 19th birthday BBQ. Papa and Dylan we out in the backyard playing baseball and Dylan fell off of her retaining wall right onto her cement patio. Papa picked him up and Kerri expected to see blood. She felt him land. Tom and I came rushing out and consoled him. After he settled down we decided to go ahead and take him into the E.R. He cracked his head very hard and I thought for sure that his arm was broken. The people down at Good Sam were great. They were great at getting us in and out because he was so young. We were checked in, x-rays taken, saw a DR and was out of there in 1 1/2 hours! The doctor said that his x-rays looked fine and so did his head and we should keep a close eye on him but he should be fine!!! Amazing...We went back to Kerri's had cake (Dylan was very concerned that he would miss out on the cake) and headed home. I was still pretty sure that we would wake up and his arm would still hurt because I just knew his arm was broken. This morning we asked how he was doing and he hopped off the bed and started doing push ups, umm I guess his arm isn't broken, phew!!! It was the 1st time that we had to take either one of the kids to the E.R. Happy Mother's Day :-)
