Great Summer Weekend

Wow, what a full weekend we had. With tempatures finally warm we set our sites on enjoying the weather! On Saturday we went to The Taste of Tacoma to eat some good food, listen to music and people watch! I think it was about 92' but wasn't too bad in the shade. Ice cream tastes so good on a hot day. Dylan was almost done with his ice cream and he said,"Um scuse me Dad, when I'm done can I have more chocolate". He was in heaven. Tom, Kerri and I enjoyed getting food and sharing it with each other until we were all stuffed.

On Sunday we decided that it was just too hot to do anything normal so we went down to Spananway Lake to try to stay as cool as possible. The kids had a great time playing in the lake. We had a picnic down there and just relaxed by the lakeside. Makayla took good care of Dylan until she found some friends to play with. Wherever she goes she can always make a friend or two. Dylan was content playing in the water with a ball. I'm pretty sure when we put them to bed they were out fast. Dylan usually takes forever to fall asleep but not tonight!

Morning Warm Ups

Dylan has warm ups that he has to do before he can wrestle Daddy or Papa. He is hilarious and always keeps us laughing. He showed up how to do his warm ups and then Papa tried. How it did it wasn't right however and so Dylan had to do it over and over to make sure that Papa got it right. He was finally tired (which you can tell at the end of the vidoe with the shirt up!)

Our 9th Anniversary!

Happy Anniversary Honey! It's hard to believe that we have been married for 9 years already. What a great ride it has been. We have been through so much growth together. I thank you for the wonderful husband and friend you have been to me and here's to us, for always... Today we got to do a little shopping with the kiddos and then Tom and I went to a Sushi place for dinner. It was so yummy.

Great friends on a nice day

We got to have one of Makayla and Dylan's best friends over today, Kelson. They played for hours with no fussing or arguing. Kelson taught Dylan how to roll down the hill doing somersaults! It is so great for the kids to have true friends that they get to play with. We are so thankful for them.
While the kids got to enjoy the nice day, my mom and I were able to get the front rose garden barked and weeded with no problem, (Thanks Mom :-)!) It looks so good.

Makayla and Dylan keep me going all day long. My friend Laura keeps bringing Dylan over new toys (gee thanks Laura) and the newest is a toy that plays that "I Love You" song by Barney. After the 14327th time it had played Dylan started crying. He was sad because Makayla hadn't given him a hug at the "great big hug and a kiss from me to you" part. He loves his big sister, most of the time.

My First Blog!

So I have been reading my friend Mimi's blog and decided that it was such a great idea that I would start my own. The kids are growing up so fast and they say the funniest things that I would love to capture and share with friends and family. Hopefully I will stick to it so that we will have a great memory book of all of our family happenings....
