A Fish, finally

Makayla has been begging us to have her very own fish in her room. I have been reluctant because I do not want to be the one cleaning out the tank. Tom and I used to have a biggish tank (I think it was 20 gallons) with fish before we had Makayla and it was such a pain to clean. And then the fish expected food, it was just more than I wanted to deal with. She has also been wanting an updated room. She thinks her room looks like a baby room and since she is almost 8 (going on 17) I thought it was time to go ahead and update it. She had VERY strict instructions on how and what and where for everything. I thought well, since you have to live with it for years I will let you be picky and get it the way you will really like it. So it was stripes and polka dots. Daddy put her bed all the way down to the ground and I painted and grandma made the curtains. I think I got the wrong end of the deal on this one! It turned out super cute and when it was put back together she got her very own fish.
