Makayla's school held their annual Raider Run on Friday. Kids gets pledges to help raise money for their school and see how many laps they can make it around their track. 4 laps=1 mile. Makayla did 10 laps! I was proud that she did that many. She took her pledge envelope into the Y and practiced at asking people for donations and pledges. She did a very good job at speaking clearly and explaining what the money was going for. I didn't want people to feel obligated to pledge so she also made sure to mention that if they weren't able to that was OK too. I think she collected $135 in donations! The final tally isn't in yet.
