Afterwards we went down to Spooner Farms. I love all of the photo ops there! They are pretty spendy when it comes to pumpkins but it is worth going just to look around and get pictures. They have a great gift shop area that is full of yummy goodies and all different kinds of gourds inclucing white and GIANT pumpkins. Most of the activities there are free. Some of them do require an extra fee. The sling shot
is fun and only $1 for 2 pumpkins. It is fun to see how far you can sling it. They have a website (http://www.spoonerfarms.com/) It doesn't have very much information on it's activities on it but it does have driving directions.
Pumpkin patch Tips:
- Wear mud boots. I don't care how nice it is, chances are there are still mud puddles and children will find them!
- Bring extra clothes. For when they do find these mud puddles and fall in them (learned these two the hard way, yesterday)
- Brind snacks. Hunting punkins is hard work
- Don't forget your camera with fresh batteries The colors that are out there are wonderful!
- If your schedule allows you to go on a weekday, opt for that over a weekend. Although not all activities are scheduled on the weekdays. But your little ones will have a lot more wiggle room!
If you have other pumpkin patches that are your favorite let me know. I would love to check out more and see which is the best!
