Laid back 4th of July

We had a very laid back 4th of July this year. Makayla and Papa went for a bike ride and Tom and I took Dylan for a bike ride. They both love to ride their bikes. Makayla just bought herself a "new" bike that is much bigger than her old one at a garage sale. She sold her Barbie House and used the money to by the bike. She is quite the bargainer and got it for $10. Dylan's bike is blue (his favorite color) and looks like a motorcycle. He loves to go fast and often says he is putting on his jets to go super fast! We went down and bought a few fireworks (big spenders, 20 bucks worth!) and so we let those off and then got to enjoy the neighbors big ones. They put on a great show and after every one Dylan would say, "That one freaked me out". He didn't want to go inside though and couldn't take his eyes off of them. Makayla is much like her Mommy and had to keep her ears covered the whole time. We ususally go down to the Freedom Fair at the waterfront in Tacoma but we didn't want to chance getting rained on. Good thing too, I think that I did get 1 or 2 drops on me ;-) . It turns out that it didn't rain much but we still had a great day and got to spend some good family time together. That is my favorite thing in the world.
